Kongens Nytorv
The King’s New Square dates back to the 17th century, designed as a Baroque garden complex inspired by the grandeur of Paris. The equestrian statue of King Christian V is a tribute to the square’s previous role as a ceremonial entrance to the city. A prominent landmark and popular meeting point, it’s close to The Royal Danish Theatre, Charlottenborg Palace, and D’Angleterre.
