Many new designers have since entered the fold, but the foundational principles remain the same: To create beautiful, functional and exceptionally crafted furniture that makes room for everyday living at home. FDB Møbler is internationally known as a frontrunner of Danish design. It’s a story of classic pieces to be passed down from generation to generation. Regardless of whether they are talking about iconic pieces or new, innovative designs, the goal is the same: To have the veritable quality of life that was envisioned when the first pieces of furniture emerged in 1942.
FDB Møbler invites into Designed For Life – an exhibition that interprets this year’s theme Make This Moment Matter through everyday life. At FDB Møbler, design has always been about more than objects. It is about people, homes, and the moments that arise between us. About furniture that quietly and honestly supports everyday life – and follows life over time. In Bredgade, it can be experienced how Danish design comes to life through three curated collaborations, where furniture is not presented as something to merely be seen, but as a natural companion to life’s different rhythms. From calm moments and personal rituals to togetherness, hospitality, and sensory experiences.
