New Light Pottery is a lighting manufacturer based in the ancient former Japanese capital of Nara. Founded in 2015 by designers Hiroyuki Nagatomi and Chizu Nara, the company creates understated designs that highlight the textures and natural beauty of brass, glass, ceramic and traditional Japanese washi paper. Each lamp is handcrafted in Japan by skilled artisans. Supporting Japanese craftsmanship and the artisans who keep these traditions alive has been central to New Light Pottery’s mission from the very beginning. Keeping production in Japan also allows for minor adjustments, special orders and unique finishes.

The lighting solutions Davide Groppi invents every day are his language to seduce and excite. Lamps are like the letters of an alphabet used to write anagrams, words and stories of light. Davide Groppi work obtained prestigious international awards and became part of the permanent collections of important design museums.
