Lise Vester Studio is a Copenhagen–based design practice working at the intersection of craft, design and atmosphere. Rooted in principles from healing architecture and neuroaesthetics, the studio explores how materials, light and form can support wellbeing and shift perception. The work spans sculptural lighting, optical objects and spatial installations developed through hands–on experimentation in close collaboration with makers. Koukos de Lab is a material–driven design studio based in Lesvos, Greece, exploring sustainable design through research, experimentation, and local production. The studio develops innovative materials and objects by transforming agricultural by–products into meaningful design resources. At the core of its practice is Koukoutsi, an eco–material made from the final waste of olive oil production, primarily olive cores and pips. Designed as a sustainable alternative to conventional materials, Koukoutsi combines durability, water resistance, and a distinctive tactile quality. Suitable for objects, furniture, and surface applications, it reflects Koukos de Lab’s commitment to circular design and responsible material transformation today, locally.

Based in Uji, Kyoto, Asahiyaki is among the oldest ceramic kilns in Japan, having crafted tea wares in the same family for 425 years. This rich history provides a unique perspective of time. Clay used today was extracted two generations ago, just as new clay is prepared for future generations. Tea vessels are not considered complete when they emerge from the kiln; they reach fulfilment gradually, through years of daily use. Besides making artistic pieces for the tea ceremony and sencha wares for daily use, Asahiyaki collaborates with global brands and restaurants on bespoke tableware collections. Every piece is thrown by hand on the pottery wheel by skilled artisans.
