SAIKAIHOP, by Saikai Europe, traces its origins to the Japanese town of Hasami, where the history of porcelain production and innovation spans more than 400 years. As a subsidiary of ceramics trading company Saikai Toki, Saikai Europe’s operations centre on a lineup of original brands merging contemporary design with Hasami’s manufacturing expertise. FRAMING is a joint exhibition during 3daysofdesign, presenting exclusive design brands and their latest novelties in an inspiring and relevant setting. The Odd Fellow Palace once again forms the backdrop for FRAMING, with all three floors of the impressive Rococo building from the mid–18th century, including its two wings, offering both indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces for national and international brands alike. In addition, a solo exhibition will take place at Harsdorff House on Kongens Nytorv, just a short walk from the main exhibition on Bredgade. This year marks the sixth edition of FRAMING, featuring more than 40 exhibiting brands.

Lokal is a Helsinki–based concept gallery bringing forth local artwork and collectible design. Inspired by a blend of artistic expression and craftsmanship, Lokal embraces sustainability and small–scale production. Fostering a supportive creative community rooted in heritage and a close relationship to nature is at the core of their activity. Lokal’s curated exhibitions can be viewed both at their homelike gallery space in Helsinki, as well as online. During 3daysofdesign, Lokal collaborates with The Finnish Cultural Institute in Denmark to present an exhibition featuring a group of Finnish artists and makers working at the intersection of fine art and functionality.
