Step into the world of 101 Copenhagen at 3daysofdesign—an extraordinary exhibition unveiling bold new creations inspired by the quiet resonance found within nature—the way colours soften under sunlight, how stone and wood becomes textured through time, and how natural materials carry depth, warmth, and memory within them. Again, this year 101 Copenhagen opens the doors to their showroom offering three immersive floors dedicated to design, discovery, and inspiration. Attendees are invited to join the celebration of design, inspiration, and connection for three unforgettable days.

Based in Uji, Kyoto, Asahiyaki is among the oldest ceramic kilns in Japan, having crafted tea wares in the same family for 425 years. This rich history provides a unique perspective of time. Clay used today was extracted two generations ago, just as new clay is prepared for future generations. Tea vessels are not considered complete when they emerge from the kiln; they reach fulfilment gradually, through years of daily use. Besides making artistic pieces for the tea ceremony and sencha wares for daily use, Asahiyaki collaborates with global brands and restaurants on bespoke tableware collections. Every piece is thrown by hand on the pottery wheel by skilled artisans.

Fornace Brioni was founded in 1920, following the acquisition of the so-called “Fornacione” (according to certain documents still stands on its original location of 1883). The family-run company is now in its fourth generation, headed by Alessio and Alberto Brioni, who are planning the future of cotto maintaining their strong link with the past. Fornace Brioni is a leader in the renovation of old flooring, and has over the years carried out constant research on the potential of this material that produces in several versions, ranging from uniform and variegated cotto to glazed versions. The products of Fornace Brioni have been selected by architects all over the world for use in contemporary and timeless interiors.

Based in India, the studio is rooted in ancient wisdom, where sustainability and care are integral to everyday living. Working closely with local artisans and locally sourced wood, the furniture draws from South Asian traditions of sitting and spatial setting. Naturally seasoned, aged trees—crafted without nails or screws—form the core language of the work. A life–centred approach ensures no harmful disruptors enter the environment, protecting everyone from maker to end user. Continually pushing the boundaries of furniture typology, the studio explores Indian minimalism while revisiting traditional skills through a contemporary lens, creating pieces that hold space and life in equal measure.

ReCraft Design Studio is a Copenhagen-based practice working with reclaimed materials, including demolition waste and production offcuts, to create architectural elements and spatial interventions. Through hands-on experimentation and material research, the studio explores how existing resources can be reintroduced into contemporary design. Focusing on irregular and overlooked materials, ReCraft reveals the inherent qualities of what is already in circulation, extending its life while opening up new possibilities for use. Rather than concealing a materials history, the studio embraces it, allowing surfaces and traces of previous lives to inform new architectural applications.

Elvang creates responsibly produced textiles which combine timeless Nordic design with exquisite Peruvian craftsmanship. Its story is one of ethics, integrity and respect. It began in 2002, when the founders Tina and Lasse Elvang learned about the qualities of alpaca wool during a backpacking trip to Peru.
