'Framing Compositions' marks a new chapter for Carl Hansen & Søn at our flagship store on Bredgade 33—a space steeped in history and craftsmanship. This exhibition invites you to explore a curated interplay of past and present, where iconic designs engage in seamless dialogue with contemporary pieces. Through thoughtfully composed settings, 'Framing Compositions' highlights the versatility of our furniture across eras, demonstrating how heritage craftsmanship and modern sensibilities complement one another. As you walk through the exhibition, experience each composition from multiple angles, and discover how form, material, and tradition unite in a dynamic yet timeless expression. Where Nordic design meets traditional African craftsmanship, Mifuko creates timeless baskets and decorative pieces with purpose and lasting impact. Founded in 2009 by Mari Martikainen and Minna Impiö, Mifuko is a Finnish design brand known for its timeless design and strong social commitment. Each product is handwoven by over 1.300 women artisans in Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana using traditional techniques. Every item is signed by its maker, ensuring transparency and traceability. NORDICMODERN presents the woven rugs of Danish textile artist Vibeke Klint (1927–2019), reissued in collaboration with her family. Klint approached textiles as part of the interior - working with proportion, rhythm and colour to create calm foundations rather than décor. Her rugs were made to be lived with and walked on, and to age naturally over time. All rugs are handwoven using her original designs and techniques, continuing a Danish modern textile tradition in a contemporary context. During 3daysofdesign the collection is shown in a spatial setting where material and colour can be experienced up close. Vibeke Klint's rugs can modernise a traditional room and add character and balance to a minimalist interior.

Jan Kath Design has revolutionised the world of rugs. For nearly 30 years, the brand has been shaping the international design scene with its work. While the creative language spans a broad spectrum, production remains deliberately rooted in tradition. Each carpet is crafted using centuries–old hand–knotting techniques in selected workshops in Nepal and India, certified for sustainability by the Swiss label STEP. Knot by knot, skilled artisans translate the designs into textile art. Only premium natural materials are used, including hand–combed Tibetan highland wool, fine Chinese silk, and Nepalese nettle. This balanced material composition gives the rugs a distinctive tactile quality and a deep, layered presence beyond the surface.
