This exhibition invites you to explore a curated interplay of past and present, where iconic designs engage in seamless dialogue with contemporary pieces. Through thoughtfully composed settings, Framing Compositions highlights the versatility of Carl Hansen & Søn's furniture across eras, demonstrating how heritage craftsmanship and modern sensibilities complement one another. Based in India, the studio is rooted in ancient wisdom, where sustainability and care are integral to everyday living. Working closely with local artisans and locally sourced wood, the furniture draws from South Asian traditions of sitting and spatial setting. Naturally seasoned, aged trees—crafted without nails or screws—form the core language of the work. A life–centred approach ensures no harmful disruptors enter the environment, protecting everyone from maker to end user. Continually pushing the boundaries of furniture typology, the studio explores Indian minimalism while revisiting traditional skills through a contemporary lens, creating pieces that hold space and life in equal measure.

After careers in the fashion industry, founders Bengt Thornefors and Nina Norgren partnered to find a new expression in bed–wear, establishing Magniberg in 2016.
