This exhibition invites you to explore a curated interplay of past and present, where iconic designs engage in seamless dialogue with contemporary pieces. Through thoughtfully composed settings, 'Framing Compositions' highlights the versatility of our furniture across eras, demonstrating how heritage craftsmanship and modern sensibilities complement one another. Grythyttan Stålmöbler is one of Sweden’s oldest furniture manufacturers, with a long tradition of craftsmanship and Scandinavian design. For more than a century, the furniture has been handcrafted in Grythyttan using carefully selected wood and spring steel. This unique combination makes the chairs and tables exceptionally durable and weather-resistant, designed to last for generations. The characteristic gentle rocking motion of the chairs is created by the carefully shaped spring steel frame—a detail that still requires skilled craftsmanship. During 3daysofdesign, Grythyttan Stålmöbler presents Bovik, a new addition that reflects its heritage while introducing a contemporary expression to outdoor living.

Where Nordic design meets traditional African craftsmanship, Mifuko creates timeless baskets and decorative pieces with purpose and lasting impact. Founded in 2009 by Mari Martikainen and Minna Impiö, Mifuko is a Finnish design brand known for its timeless design and strong social commitment. Each product is handwoven by over 1.300 women artisans in Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana using traditional techniques. Every item is signed by its maker, ensuring transparency and traceability. As a Certified B Corporation and WFTO member, Mifuko supports long–term partnerships and rural livelihoods.

Unwanted fibre becomes an UNWONTED experience. The brand makes alpaca duvets from fibres that would otherwise go unused. Across Poland, 47 small farmhouses produce fleece in quantities too small for industrial processing. UNWONTED collects, grades, and processes these volumes into duvets with GOTS–certified organic cotton shells, entirely free of synthetic components. Founded in 2025, the brand bridges Copenhagen design and Polish agriculture, where the founder's father and sister trained as professional shearers to supply the collection. Collection that is limited by the natural shearing cycle. Alpaca fibres accounts for 0.05% of world textile production and the experience of sleeping under it remains unfamiliar to most.
