Christianshavn
Founded by King Christian IV in the 17th century, Christianshavn celebrates a rich artisanal heritage. For centuries, artisan workshops lined the area’s canals, connecting Danish production to Europe and beyond. With that in mind, District Christianshavn is where we focus on crafts, materials and processes that merge traditional creative arts with modern techniques. Visitors can look forward to a hands-on experience of artisan skills and innovative materials by artists who use them to create the objects that define our spaces.
