For this reason, craftsmanship lies at the heart of Örsjö’s work, with local artisans involved across the entire product range. Welding, soldering, bending, polishing, painting, assembling, glass blowing, and leather carving all take place either in Örsjö’s own factory or in trusted workshops within the region. Pit–To–Table is a materials manufacturer transforming agricultural waste into sustainable interior surfaces. Produced in Cyprus, Pit–Board is a bio–composite panel made from discarded olive pits sourced from local olive farms. By turning an abundant by–product of the olive industry into a functional design material, Pit–To–Table supports circular production and reduces waste. Designed for interior architecture and furniture applications, Pit–Board combines natural texture with durability and a warm, distinctive appearance. The material offers designers a renewable alternative to conventional boards while connecting contemporary spaces to Mediterranean agricultural heritage.
