Fogia’s mission as a furniture maker is to turn exceptional ideas into well–crafted pieces. At its centre is the factory, where wood, textiles and skilled hands come together, giving designers and craftspeople the time to explore how sketches become lasting objects. The aim is to create furniture that people grow attached to over time. This comes from balancing function with friction—the detail, tension or gesture that gives character. One without the other is incomplete. Working closely with designers who question conventions with finesse, Fogia shapes furniture that feels considered. Yobiiro fuses traditional craftsmanship from regions across Japan with cutting–edge technology, transforming them into products that awaken the senses and emotions. It treats subtle shifts in light, scent, and temperature as colours that enrich everyday life. Like the first pour that draws water from a well, it invites new perception and awareness. Working with production regions, craftspeople, and technologists, Yobiiro explores forms of value beyond functionality or numbers—value meant to be felt. In doing so, it brings a first drop into daily life and sketches new possibilities for the future.
