Frilund's foundation is built on respect. Respect for the craft, for the materials, for the Danish tradition of design and craftsmanship, and for the furniture classics. The brand specialises in metal and wood work, and work with skilled craftsmen and use only local materials. All the furniture is designed, produced and assembled in Denmark. With Frilund, both people and furniture are in good hands.

Close to Classic is Frilund's first original series, designed and developed by Mie Hansen and Michael Frilund. The series is timeless in form and contemporary in comfort. The production combines modern CNC technology with classic machine work and craftsmanship. Frilund creates furniture that you want to take care of and take pleasure in for a lifetime.

Birgitte Due Madsen is a Copenhagen-based artist and designer working across furniture, objects, and sculptural form. Her practice centres on materiality, light, and aesthetics, exploring how structure and surface inform both function and perception. Working with materials such as gypsum, resin, wood stone, and concrete, she develops pieces through a process that moves from abstraction to precise realization. The work spans custom commissions, serial designs, and unique pieces, often produced in close dialogue with manufacturers. Defined by tactile textures, controlled colour, and a distinct geometric language, each object reflects a commitment to craftsmanship and a considered approach to form, material, and use.
