To celebrate 90 years of the Aalto vase, Iittala presents the Aalto 90 Pavilion at Ofelia Plads. Founded in Copenhagen, Ancher works locally with a production setup that allows for fast delivery without compromising quality. Their new studio—an old butcher shop transformed into a ceramic studio—reflects this approach: original materials, honest processes, and modern design. Ethimo is an Italian company founded in 2009 that specialised in high–end outdoor furnishings that express contemporary design in a balanced synthesis of form and function. Koukos de Lab is a material–driven design studio based in Lesvos, Greece, exploring sustainable design through research, experimentation, and local production. The studio develops innovative materials and objects by transforming agricultural by–products into meaningful design resources. At the core of its practice is Koukoutsi, an eco–material made from the final waste of olive oil production, primarily olive cores and pips. Designed as a sustainable alternative to conventional materials, Koukoutsi combines durability, water resistance, and a distinctive tactile quality. Suitable for objects, furniture, and surface applications, it reflects Koukos de Lab’s commitment to circular design and responsible material transformation today, locally.
