Brighton based Spark & Bell is a B Corp lighting design studio that is pioneering a new era of sustainable lighting, combining community focused craftsmanship with quality and responsible materials in its contemporary design pieces. Championing circular design principles in daily practice, Spark & Bell supports domestic suppliers and collaborates with local artisans working in wood, ceramics, cork and jesmonite. It has also taken to developing materials from sources headed for landfill, in their Brighton workshop. This appreciation for local heritage craft and dedication to sustainability is resonating with a growing customer base that values both environmental responsibility and unique aesthetics.

Throughout the years, Skovby has educated more than 250 men and women within the ﬁeld of furniture production. With an inclusive staff policy, a ﬂexible senior policy and a constant ﬂow of around 10 apprentices, Skovby carry core values while also investing in the future. Skovby work hard and passionately each day to uphold the traditions of great Danish design. Skovby still produces furniture locally, in Denmark–strengthening and embracing the know-how and craftsmanship necessary for creating the ultimate the ultimate Danish design piece.
