String Furniture is a Swedish design company producing a range of modern classics and contemporary furniture brands. More than 95% of its furniture is made in Sweden, using renewable, recyclable or recycled materials. String has earned a place in design history thanks to the elegant simplicity and ingenious construction of its systems, which can be assembled in countless configurations and remain as relevant today as when first introduced in 1949. The collection includes Pira G2, originally conceived by Olle Pira in 1954 and reinterpreted in 2023 by Anna von Schewen and Björn Dahlström, as well as Museum, designed for the reopening of the Swedish Nationalmuseum, and Relief, a modular system created by TAF Studio.
Swedish design company String Furniture will exhibit at FRAMING in the Annex, showcasing the modernist classic String from 1949 in a new Dark Grey, along with the ‘String Pocket Stockholm’ series inspired by the Swedish capital. The space will be transformed into a ‘modern office’ featuring the modular Centre Centre by Form Us With Love, the classic Pira G2 from 1954, and Relief by TAF Studio. A special installation will also highlight the idiosyncratic Museum range by TAF Studio.
