String Furniture
String Furniture is a Swedish design company that produces a number of modern classics and furniture brands. More than 95% of the furniture is made in Sweden, using renewable, recyclable or recycled materials. String has earned a place in design history thanks to the elegant simplicity and ingenious construction that can be put together in an infinite number of configurations and is just as modern as when it debuted in 1949. Pira, originally by Olle Pira in 1954, is a contemporary interpretation by Anna von Schewen and Björn Dahlström in 2023. Museum, designed for the reopening of the Swedish National Museum and Relief, a modular system, by TAF Studio. The latest contribution is Center Center, designed by Form Us With Love.
Faces for Spaces—Since 1949, String Furniture has been built on a simple idea: that great design should adapt to the lives around it. Design that can expand, shift, and evolve—growing with you from room to room, home to home, moment to moment. In the Faces for Spaces exhibition, that flexibility shows its personality in a very literal way with arrangements creating a whole range characters—each one brought to life through objects, balance and imagination. Because just like people, no two String furniture combinations are ever the same.
