String Furniture is a Swedish design company that produces a number of modern classics and furniture brands. More than 95% of the furniture is made in Sweden, using renewable, recyclable or recycled materials. String has earned a place in design history thanks to the elegant simplicity and ingenious construction that can be put together in an infinite number of configurations and is just as modern as when it debuted in 1949. Pira G2, originally conceived by Olle Pira in 1954, in a contemporary interpretation by Anna von Schewen and Björn Dahlström in 2023. Museum, designed for the reopening of the Swedish National Museum and Relief, a modular system, by TAF Studio.

Swedish icon STRING turns 75 and we’re celebrating in style at 3daysofdesign! Designed by Nisse and Kajsa Strinning, the String shelving won its first design prize in 1949. To commemorate we produced a numbered series of the original design. RELIEF is a new modular system by the award-winning TAF Studio. The chest of drawers and hook rails has an understated elegance and can be combined in size and colour to suit different spaces and contexts, even as room dividers. CENTER CENTER is an exiting collaboration with Swedish design company FUWL. Made entirely of metal and with an unparalled modularity, it challenges conventions in office planning and interiors. Designed for a modern office where flexbility and collaboration are key.

Archival Studies is a Copenhagen-based design practice that explores interior architecture for transformation and care of the existing, applying regenerative concepts, flexible building systems, and sensory-rich environments. As the name implies, each process begins by understanding the available resources, letting patterns of life frame and direct the design work. Archival Studies strives to set new standards for materials and shape a contemporary definition of architecture and design that addresses the numerous challenges our planet faces today. In this new definition, the practice emphasizes viewing every piece of material as a valuable resource, with transformation, care and repair as guiding principles.

Since its inception in 2013, Signe Byrdal Terenziani has facilitated the growth of the design community in her role as Managing Director. It all began as a small design event held in an old warehouse in Nordhavn, a harbour area overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront. Four Danish brands launched the event as a joint initiative: Montana, Erik Jørgensen (now owned by Fredericia Furniture), Anker & Co, and Kvadrat. At that time, Copenhagen lacked a proper design festival, since the previous annual furniture fair at Bella Center closed down some years before.

Today, the 3daysofdesign festival extends to the entire city of Copenhagen and is considered the most significant annual design festival in Scandinavia and Northern Europe.

Each year since its inception, 3daysofdesign has grown in popularity exponentially. In 2024, over 400 brands exhibited at the festival, where over 45.000 visitors could choose from as many as 500 events to attend in various design districts across Copenhagen, such as design talks, product launches, networking, etc.

3daysofdesign takes place every year in Copenhagen mainly in showrooms and galleries during June, Wednesday to Friday. In 2025 the festival will be held from 18 — 20 June 2025.

Pack your bags, book a hotel and come to Copenhagen! 3daysofdesign is open to the general public and everyone is invited to visit the showrooms, exhibitions, workshops and design talks. All events are free of charge.
