Founded in 1987, Woodnotes combines artistic creativity inspired by Finland’s rugged nature with advanced technology to shape beautiful, locally sourced materials. The softness of wool, the purity of paper, and the glow of linen define a collection of timeless designs with rare aesthetic quality. At the heart of the brand is its innovative use of paper yarn — creating durable, allergy–friendly rugs and blinds crafted from paper yarn and cotton. These are presented alongside a selection of outdoor rugs, tufted wool–linen carpets, and atelier–woven cotton–paper and wool–paper yarn rugs, among others.
WOODNOTES' 2025 exhibition is themed around the colours of water and will showcase the latest updates alongside a selection of timeless classics. This serene collection celebrates the legacy of Finnish textile art, featuring subtle, soft paper yarn shades inspired by nature. With contributions from Finnish manufacturers Nikari for furniture and Secto Design for lighting, the exhibition is located in the heart of Copenhagen. Offering a calm and understated sense of space, the exhibit is inspired by the rugged beauty of Finnish nature. With a focus on simplicity and authenticity, it brings the atmosphere of solitude and silence from Finland to visitors from around the world.
