Established in 2020 in Armenia, OCHRE merges artistic ideas with artisanal expertise to craft objects for everyday life. At the heart of OCHRE’s practice is wool—a material that serves as both a physical foundation and a source of reflection. Yet wool is a starting point, never an obligatory final destination. In recent years, OCHRE’s collections have expanded into the world of embroidery, ceramics, and beyond. OCHRE creates objects for everyday life, guided by a search for more sustainable ways of relating to materials, to histories, and to one another.
For its first participation at 3daysofdesign, OCHRE will present The Grains, its most recent collection of textiles and ceramics, created in collaboration with artist Anush Ghukasyan, in dialogue with objects from the Prelude collection, one of its earliest bodies of work, developed in collaboration with artist Aleksey Manukyan. Presented together in a space carefully curated by architect Arsen Karapetyan, the works will form a unified spatial narrative. Conceived as an open framework, the installation will invite dialogue, exchange, and reflection, allowing the objects to evolve through their encounter with an international audience.
