Drawing on traditions of communal dining, our Long Table Dinners are a welcoming setting where 3daysofdesign guests can sit side by side, break bread, meet new friends and potential business — all while creating meaningful moments together at the festival.
During our Design Walks, you’ll have unique experiences you might not discover on your own. Such as an artisan workshop tucked away in a cobblestone courtyard, or an unconventional designer displaying work in an unexpected exhibition space.
Our 3daysofdesign Symposium “Entering the Now” mirrors this year’s theme: Make This Moment Matter. Together, they call for a shift in perspective. From designing for what’s next, to engaging deeply with what’s now. Because the present is no longer a pause between past and future. It is where decisions take shape, where responsibility is felt, and where design has the power to impact change.
Curated by Tey Bannerman and Veronica D'Souza, “Entering the Now” brings together leading voices from around the world across disciplines to explore how design can respond to a world in flux. From technological transformation to ecological urgency and social change. We’re pleased to welcome five headline speakers: Paola Antonelli, Natsai Audrey Chieza, Alice Rawsthorne, Yinka Ilori, and Anupama Kundoo. Offering distinct perspectives on how design can function as a cultural, social, and environmental force.
Entering the Now with Us
Session 01
Being Present [Early Bird]
What becomes possible when we truly exist in the moment? In an era shaped by constant distraction and future–facing thinking, “Being Present” invites a return to awareness. To show up, fully and consciously. Because it is here, in the now, that old thought patterns loosen their grip, and new perspectives begin to emerge. With an opening headline talk by Paola Antonelli, Senior Curator of Architecture & Design at MoMA, New York, this Symposium session explores the power of presence as a creative force. One that allows us to see differently, think clearly, and act with intention.

Session 02
Things That Matter [Early Bird]
What makes something worth keeping? In a world of constant accumulation, “Things That Matter” asks us to look beyond aesthetics, beyond function. Do the objects we surround ourselves with hold memory, meaning, and emotional value? Or are they simply occupying space? With a headline talk by British artist and designer Yinka Ilori, this session explores the idea that design is not about having more. It’s about appreciating what we already have and choose to keep. If something doesn’t add to your life, perhaps it’s time to subtract it, and rediscover what truly matters.

Session 03
Purpose [Early Bird]
What begins as a blank page rarely stays empty for long? From uncertainty comes intention. From nothing comes a reason to create. In this session, the theme “Purpose” explores how clarity emerges through the creative process, shaping not only what we design, but why we even design at all. Because purpose is more than a starting point. It is a compass. It guides decisions, defines direction, and gives meaning to form. Featuring a headline talk by Alice Rawsthorn OBE, British design critic and author, this session invites you to reflect on the role of intention in design today, and what it truly means to create with purpose.

Session 04
Waste [Early Bird]
What do we choose to overlook, and what does that cost us? In a world where landfills are overflowing, and oceans bear the burden of the debris we discard, waste is no longer out of sight, nor out of mind. This session asks a crucial question: in the face of excess, does the world really need another design? With a headline talk by Natsai Audrey Chieza, a Zimbabwe–born British designer, the “Waste“ session explores the design industry’s role in confronting overproduction, rethinking materials, and redefining value. Challenging us to consider whether creating less might, in fact, lead to more meaningful designs.

Session 05
The Ripple Effect [Early Bird]
What if every action carried further than we imagine? “The Ripple Effect” explores how small, intentional choices can extend beyond the immediate — influencing systems, communities, and futures. When we choose substance over surface, and consider both people and planet, design becomes more than an outcome. It becomes a catalyst. With a headline talk by Berlin–based Indian architect Anupama Kundoo, this session reflects on how thoughtful action can inspire others, build momentum, and contribute to a world we collectively want to live in. When you make this moment matter, the impact of what you do doesn’t end here. It spreads exponentially with a ripple effect.

“Entering the Now” Symposium invites knowledge–sharing and equal participation. It’s where ideas are exchanged, questioned, and shaped together. We don’t just observe design, we actively engage in defining its role in our lives — and in society at large.
The symposium is supported by partners committed to design as a force for meaningful change. With Delta Air Lines, a lounge offers space for pause and connection, while Anthropic leads a workshop on AI’s role in design. Together, they extend the programme beyond the stage. 3daysofdesign is Denmark’s annual design festival, conceived as a platform to showcase and celebrate great design. It’s the opportunity to meet, network and be inspired by designs from local and global talent. The informal atmosphere welcomes people to engage directly with design brands at stunning locations all over Copenhagen.

Since its inception in 2013, Signe Byrdal Terenziani has facilitated the growth of the design community in her role as Managing Director. It all began as a small design event held in an old warehouse in Nordhavn, a harbour area overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront. Four Danish brands launched the event as a joint initiative: Montana, Erik Jørgensen (now owned by Fredericia Furniture), Anker & Co, and Kvadrat. At that time, Copenhagen lacked a proper design festival, since the previous annual furniture fair at Bella Center closed down some years before.

Today, the 3daysofdesign festival extends to the entire city of Copenhagen and is considered the most significant annual design festival in Scandinavia and Northern Europe.

Each year since its inception, 3daysofdesign has grown in popularity exponentially. In 2025, over 460 brands exhibited at the festival, where over 60.000 visitors could choose from as many as 600+ events to attend in various design districts across Copenhagen, such as design talks, product launches, networking, etc.

3daysofdesign takes place every year in Copenhagen mainly in showrooms and galleries during June, Wednesday to Friday. In 2026 the festival will be held from 10— 12 June.

Pack your bags, book a hotel and come to Copenhagen! 3daysofdesign is open to the general public and everyone is invited to visit the showrooms, exhibitions, workshops and design talks. All events are free of charge.
