At the heart of Bankston is the aspiration to be a thoughtful and consistent lab of design incubation. Guided by this vision, Bankston collaborates with leading minds in architecture and design to craft original expressions of architectural hardware that redefine the category. Established in Australia and bolstered by four decades of industry expertise, Bankston’s purpose led approach is rooted in the belief that hardware can transcend utility to become a testament to artistry. With every mindfully paced release, it strives for a lighter ecological footprint. Each Bankston collaboration is a true partnership, presenting an interplay of inspiration, unconventional materiality, and innovative production that pushes the boundaries of design.

Bankston’s exhibition at 3daysofdesign celebrates the global launch of The Streaks a partnership with YSG Studio, led by Sydney-based designer Yasmine Ghoniem. The collection redefines architectural hardware with innovative distinctive timber banding, featuring three distinct striped combinations of sustainably sourced species, including African Padouk and Purple Heart. The collection balances playful design with sustainable craftsmanship, inviting attendees to experience hardware as an artful, interactive medium. Yasmine will design the exhibition space, featuring tactile installations and works by Australian artisans for a multi-sensory experience.
