Ethimo is an Italian company founded in 2009 that specialised in high–end outdoor furnishings that express contemporary design in a balanced synthesis of form and function. Study of materials and shapes of elements speak of the tailoring of a knowhow consolidated over time and of all–Italian style. To celebrate 90 years of the Aalto vase, Iittala presents the Aalto 90 Pavilion at Ofelia Plads. Shaped after Alvar Aalto’s celebrated design, the pavilion invites visitors to step inside the form itself and experience an immersive soundscape created especially for the occasion. Within the pavilion, Iittala unveils its exclusive Aalto City Vases, presented as part of the spatial experience. The pavilion is a place for encounters, reflection, and sensory immersion—bringing together past, present, and future through one of the most enduring symbols of design during 3daysofdesign.

At 3daysofdesign, “Visible Hidden Innovation” reveals the ingenuity normally concealed, showcasing precision engineering through sculptural, ice–like installations that highlight water as the essential element.

Kaikale is an India-based furniture brand rooted in local craftsmanship and people-driven making. In collaboration with the Scandinavian architect Alexander Mihel, the work brings together traditional Indian carpentry and Scandinavian design principles. Kaikale x Alexander Mihel presents a furniture collection developed over 2,5 years through a hands-on collaborative process. The collection is made using carpentry-based methods, working with established hardwoods and also experimenting with non-forest timber such as coconut timber. In India, the coconut tree has traditionally been fully utilised, with every part used. The furniture continues this approach by giving coconut wood a long life as durable, long-lasting pieces.
