Edin and Lina Kjellvertz launched Dusty Deco as a platform for curating vintage furniture, interior accessories and art. After having traveled the world and browsing flea markets for the most unique pieces, their home and storages quickly filled up to the brim with rare designs. Ten years later, Edin and Lina began drafting a new chapter in the brand’s history when closing the doors to its vintage business, instead launching their own collection of furniture, rugs and details. For this exhibition, nature is not merely an inspiration but an integral part of the essence of the works and of the installation, created in collaboration with Dýpi – an ocean paint made from calcareous algae harvested in Iceland. Located in the heart of central Copenhagen, Designmuseum Danmark is Denmark’s leading museum of Danish and international design. Mikkel Nielsen is a Copenhagen–based design studio producing architectural lamps through 3D printing in bioplast. Each lamp is designed and produced in Copenhagen in small, limited series.
