Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild represents the legacy and future of Danish craftsmanship. Founded on centuries of tradition, the guild brings together master cabinetmakers who blend artistry, precision, and innovation in wood. Each creation reflects a deep respect for natural materials and the pursuit of enduring quality. Through exhibitions and collaborations, the guild celebrates the dialogue between heritage and contemporary design, showcasing how Danish craftsmanship continues to shape modern living. Established in 1554, it remains a cornerstone of Danish craft culture.

Carpentry Craft 2026 highlights the next generation of Danish craftsmanship through its most ambitious exhibition to date. Focusing on apprentices and newly graduated cabinetmakers, the show unites tradition, innovation, and artistry in wood. Visitors will experience a dialogue between classic techniques and modern design across themes of mastery, technology, and artistic expression. As both a cultural event and an educational platform, the exhibition celebrates craftsmanship as a living art form and inspires young talents to shape the future of Danish design.

As those who are involved in design in Japan, blessed with rich diversity of materials, Japan Creative focuses on the inherent backgrounds, characteristics and potential of materials themselves, reevaluating their value through a designer’s perspective. Japan Creative believes that only by understanding how materials are shaped by the unique natural environments and climates, and how they are situated, can it move beyond superficial expression and create designs with necessity and sustainability.

EETAL is a project launched in 2021 by Japan Benex Corporation, a company specialising in precision sheet metal processing technology. Through collaborations with designers, it reconsiders the creative potential of sheet metal from multiple perspectives. Embracing an experimental approach, the project challenges conventional notions of industrial production and explores new dialogues between sheet metal and design. The name "EETAL" originates from "SHEET METAL." It combines "EET" from "SHEET" and "TAL" from "METAL," forming a coined term that symbolises the new form of sheet metal they strive to create.
