Progressive by nature, Hem creates contemporary furniture for architectural spaces, combining experimentation with durability and a commitment to responsible production. Known for its bold designs, close attention to detail, and materiality, Hem collaborates with leading designers such as Max Lamb, Sabine Marcelis and Faye Toogood, alongside leading European manufacturers, to develop distinctive, purposeful pieces defined by clarity, quality, and longevity.
Fresh off its 10-year anniversary, Hem enters a new chapter defined by progressive design and dialogue. During 3daysofdesign, Hem presents an exhibition at Papirøen, the former industrial island now transformed by COBE into a mixed-use district shaped by sloping rooflines, crafted brick façades, and a central green courtyard. The space functions both as a design display and a place for conversation. At the center is a new solid wood chair by British designer Max Lamb, whose hands-on approach explores the natural character of wood through form and process.
