EMFIMA Collection is a Nordic agency established in September 2016 and today represent the well-known Italian manufacturers Luceplan Srl., Pedrali S.p.A., Contardi Lighting Srl, BROKIS and Fantoni S.p.A. All manufacturers are available on the Nordic markets, and are represented in Denmark through the EMFIMA Collection. In addition, EMFIMA Collection has entered into a distributor agreement with the Swedish company BOOM Interiør, on the Danish market. The EMFIMA Collection exclusively offers products with a high design profile and complete unique functions. EMFIMA is interested in good quality, the best design and distributing the carefully selected brands through a professional and quality-consciously selected network throughout DK.

EMFIMA Collection during 3daysofdesign presents a curated programme for visitors in the unique and historic setting at Holmen. The exhibition showcases the latest in lighting and space planning from leading Italian manufacturers, highlighting new trends in colours and material choices. Visitors can explore a wide selection of designs and gain inspiration for future interior projects, discovering contemporary approaches to atmosphere, functionality, and refined Italian design.

Founded in 2019, Material Matters is a platform dedicated to exploring the role of material intelligence in architecture and design. With more than 140 podcasts published and four acclaimed editions of its annual fair staged in London, the brand made its international debut in Copenhagen in 2025 as part of 3daysofdesign—an appearance that exceeded expectations and confirmed the appetite for a deeper, more material–led conversation. Building on the success of last year, Material Matters returns to 3daysofdesign taking up, once again, the residence in the heart of Christianshavn, positioned as a key destination within the city.

Akua Objects was founded in 2022 by Annika Zobel Agerled and Josefine Arthur in Copenhagen, driven by a desire to create something meaningful and lasting. With a vision to design poetic tableware, Akua blends thoughtful design with master craftsmanship. Annika leads creative direction, while Josefine guides the brand as CEO. Collaborating with glassmakers in Murano and Bohemia, each piece balances artistry and utility, whispering tales of warmth and nostalgia. Portugal’s participation at 3daysofdesign under the Made in Portugal Naturally brand—presents Momentum, a curatorial concept exploring the dialogue between craftsmanship, cultural memory and contemporary design. Shaped by a deep connection to the Atlantic and the influence of the oceans, it reflects a culture rooted in tradition, innovation and material awareness. Through cork, textiles, wood, ceramics and metal, Portuguese design expresses continuity and transformation. Momentum highlights the ability to turn heritage into contemporary objects, positioning Portugal as a design ecosystem where craftsmanship, industry and innovation evolve together.

Kaikale is an India-based furniture brand rooted in local craftsmanship and people-driven making. In collaboration with the Scandinavian architect Alexander Mihel, the work brings together traditional Indian carpentry and Scandinavian design principles. Kaikale x Alexander Mihel presents a furniture collection developed over 2,5 years through a hands-on collaborative process. The collection is made using carpentry-based methods, working with established hardwoods and also experimenting with non-forest timber such as coconut timber. In India, the coconut tree has traditionally been fully utilised, with every part used. The furniture continues this approach by giving coconut wood a long life as durable, long-lasting pieces.

It’s all about furniture heritage and family heritage. Founded in 2024 by Edward Gubi, a third–generation member of the GUBI family, DesignPreowned is built on a passion for preserving and renewing design history. Together with his team, Edward Gubi sources and acquires pre–owned furniture primarily from Scandinavia—often overlooked classics from the 1930s to the 1980s—which are carefully restored and upcycled to fit contemporary interiors.

Reevein Studios is a Danish high–end design company dedicated to crafting collectible floral and botanical objects that last a lifetime. Originating as a brand specialising in sculptures and installations for exhibitions, inspired by the profound link between humans and nature, Reevein Studios has today evolved into a design brand, creating exquisite collectible handcrafted faux flowers and surrealistic botanical design objects. Reevein Studios envisions botanical design as a deliberate choice, not attempting to mimic nature but rather standing as a unique artistic expression. Sagarminaga Atelier is a design studio and artisan workshop specialised in installations for brands and hotels, set design, and high–end décor. The atelier works with premium natural materials like esparto grass and rattan, transforming them into custom pieces with a fresh, modern aesthetic. It collaborates closely with architects, interior designers, and private clients, tailoring each project to its unique needs. Its multidisciplinary team explores the full potential of natural fibres through techniques like weaving, moulding, and dyeing to create atmospheres that blend beauty with environmental responsibility. Rooted in craftsmanship, its approach is innovative and experimental, resulting in designs that are both contemporary and timeless.
