HOUE

HOUE is a Danish design house established in 2007 and rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition. HOUE creates outdoor furniture that combines comfort, durability, and a calm visual expression. Each design is developed with careful attention to materials, proportion, and function, balancing aesthetics with everyday usability. With a strong commitment to responsible production, HOUE integrates recycled materials and thoughtful solutions to create long–lasting products made for real outdoor living—designed to be used, enjoyed, and built to last.

During 3daysofdesign, HOUE opens the doors to its showroom in District Nordhavn. The space is set to transform into outdoor living spaces and new products will be launched.

It all started more than 125 years ago, with two families—the Miele and Zinkann families. The engineer Carl Miele and the businessman Reinhard Zinkann founded a company for the manufacture of cream separators in Herzebrock. Their guiding principle becomes the business philosophy: Immer besser. Miele appliances, whether they are used for laundry care, vacuuming or in the kitchen, are subjected to the strictest stress and endurance tests before they are launched on the market. Miele design represents innovation, value and timeless elegance. It shapes the relationship between the person and the product, meets expectations, facilitates handling and creates trust.

PAP DECO is a family–run Polish manufactory that has become a pioneer in creating hand–carved furniture handles and wall decorations using traditional casting techniques. With more than 30 years of experience in metallurgy, the brand has been evolving across generations, with its founders—brothers Piotr and Marcin Papliński—working alongside their father, Jerzy, who instilled in them a passion for working with noble brass. The pieces crafted directly by the artisans are artistic objects with ergonomic functions, each one a timeless example of functional art. PAP DECO creates not only unique brass handles and decorations with sculptural forms, but also other fully personalised ornamental elements.

Designs are handcrafted in Egypt through a dialogue between local artisans and Danish designers. Beginning with the land—its textures, rhythms, and hands—the practice brings the outside in, creating spaces and objects that belong. Jeroen De Ruddere is a Belgian designer creating sculptural lighting objects rooted in material, proportion and emotional presence. Each piece begins with an idea, a tension that needs to be felt, and is guided by a deep respect for sustainable materials, form and timeless simplicity. Drawing inspiration from nature, architecture and human sensibility, his designs balance strength and softness. Solid wood bases in oak, walnut or mahogany are combined with carefully selected textiles, resulting in objects that feel both architectural and sculptural. Jeroen De Ruddere creates objects that transforms atmosphere. Each piece carries a distinct signature and is designed to endure, both in quality and in character.
