Since its foundation in 1911, the family-owned company Fredericia has proudly built a strong tradition of beautiful craftsmanship and innovative design, developed in close collaboration with a circle of internationally recognised names. Legendary designers such as Børge Mogensen, Hans J. Wegner, Mogens Koch and Nanna Ditzel, as well as contemporary figures like Barber Osgerby, Jasper Morrison, Cecilie Manz, and Maria Bruun, all play a role in shaping Fredericia into the design and craftsmanship institution it is today. Fredericia is a proud B Corp taking part in a global movement where people use business as a force for good—a holistic certification for social and environmental impact, transparency, and accountability.

Intersections explores these connections—where objects and furniture shape daily rituals, and materials pave the future, demonstrating how thoughtful design enhances everyday life. What started back in 2012 as a one–man show has now, in little more than a decade, become an established European design brand: Freifrau Manufaktur. Operating from Lemgo, a small town in Westphalia, Germany, this exclusive manufacturer of seating furniture is characterised by the highest possible levels of comfort, lovingly–rendered details, and exacting quality and sustainability standards. Working with big–name designers and those at the start of their careers alike, since it was founded, Freifrau has built up a portfolio of timeless chairs, armchairs, and settees, wide–ranging and yet all with a unifying emphasis on individual comfort, total versatility, and undeniable individuality.

Sculptural Minimalism’ has been a guiding principle since the beginning of Kristina Dam Studio, influenced by movements such as Bauhaus and Japanese design. The aim has always been to create minimalist yet impactful pieces, functional yet artistic. At Kristina Dam Studio, the home is regarded as a place where the beauty of art integrates seamlessly into everyday life. By normalising the presence of sculptures and artistic objects, Kristina Dam Studio brings art out of the exclusive realm and into communal spaces, enriching the environment and inspiring those who inhabit it. The ethos of ‘Sculptural Minimalism’ continues to guide the studio, as it designs products that merge functionality with aesthetic refinement.

Kvik has been creating Danish design kitchens, baths and wardrobes at surprisingly low prices since 1983. In 2024, Kvik Living, a line of Danish design furniture, lighting and accessories that are the perfect companion to their kitchens, was launched. Kvik introduced The Sociable Kitchen® (Samtalekøkken®) in 1998 and made their mark on life in the kitchen. The philosophy behind it is simple — a space where the kitchen is the living heart of the home. Everyone has the right to a beautiful, Danish design kitchen and sustainability is for everyone. Every Kvik kitchen comes with a calculation that tells customers how much recycled wood and how many recycled plastic bottles were used to make it and the CO2e footprint of their kitchen.
