Founded in Denmark in 1872, Fritz Hansen plays an active role in the evolution of Danish design, shaping a legacy of craftsmanship, quality, and innovation. Throughout its history, the company has worked closely with visionary designers and architects to shape lasting designs that have stood the test of time. From Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjærholm to contemporary talents like Cecilie Manz, Piero Lissoni, and Jaime Hayon, each collaboration contributes to an ongoing dialogue between heritage and innovation—united by a dedication to enduring design made to pass on to the next generation. Fritz Hansen’s collections span indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting, and objects brought to life in homes, workplaces, and hospitality spaces worldwide.

Shaping Lasting Design—For 153 years, Fritz Hansen has been at the forefront of Danish design, shaping its evolution through craftsmanship and innovation to create some of the world’s most enduring icons. At 3daysofdesign, the Copenhagen Flagship store explores how ongoing dialogues between heritage and innovation, and designer and manufacturer, remain foundational for shaping lasting design. In addition, a pop-up restaurant at Orangeriet in the King’s Garden invites guests to experience Fritz Hansen's hospitality universe across indoor and outdoor settings. Throughout the spaces, visitors will discover the materials, techniques, and principles that define our approach—designs made to be cherished, repaired, and passed down through generations.

Tools for Everyday Life is a project showcasing the community of practice surrounding the BA Furniture and Product Design programme at Northumbria University. This community has evolved through a dialogical approach to teaching and learning, where academic and technical staff act as facilitators in an ongoing process of shared inquiry with students. The project sets design briefs to create everyday objects that bring joy in use, proposing artefacts that recognise and celebrate the innumerable skilled actions that shape daily life. The aim is to draw inspiration from materials and processes that not only define the objects people interact with but also shape the relationship with the surrounding environment.

AHARE is a product brand that brings subtle richness to everyday life through scent. They see scent not merely as an element of space but as a medium that deepens experience. With a commitment to sustainability, they reinterpret Japanese craftsmanship while fostering a connection between people and nature. In parallel, Ahare Space Project explores scent as architecture itself, designing immersive experiences that shift perception. By reading the essence of a place, they create scents within an architectural context, investigating how scent can transform environments and identities. Through the intersection of product and project, AHARE creates a signature of scent within space.
