MAKERS OF BEAUTIFUL RUGS. CREATORS OF DESIGN CULTURE SINCE 1889. Founded in Kinna, Sweden, Kasthall is a Swedish rug maker with a legacy spanning over 135 years. Kasthall offers design experiences characterized by quality, innovation, and the mastery of industrial craftmanship, cultivated through generations. The rugs, created by Kasthall, embody harmony, with a design philosophy aimed at adding beauty and warmth to private and public spaces, fostering meaningful connections. Kasthall is established in over thirty countries, with showrooms in fashion capitals such as New York, Milan and Stockholm.

Rug maker Kasthall embraces spring with the launch of Anemon—a blossoming new rug collection that brings a sense of nature’s vitality into contemporary interiors. With its organic floral pattern and bright colouring, Anemon embodies the spirit of spring and a new creative era at Kasthall, which celebrates its 135th anniversary this year. Inspired by an original artwork by Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg from 1991, Anemon was rediscovered in Kasthall’s extensive archives and reimagined for today. The collection is presented in three versions, each with their unique character. The Blue edition stays true to Ullberg’s original vision, while the Coral and Lilac variations are contemporary reinterpretations by the Kasthall Design Studio.

Lasting change begins at the smallest scale. No detail is too little, no problem too small, no emotion trivial and no person irrelevant. In a time defined by environmental and social challenges, design becomes a tool for care, attention, and responsibility, where every step matters and every effort counts. At Lund University School of Industrial Design, education is grounded in curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world engagement. Students question, test, and refine, engaging with people and contexts, bringing together diverse perspectives. The school fosters a new generation of designers who create with intent and awareness. Their work reflects a shift from producing more to creating meaningful impact. Because Every Thing Matters.

SF–SO is an industrial design studio operating between San Francisco and Seoul, founded in 2019 by Jaehoon Jung and Hoyoung Joo. The studio focuses on simplifying the relationship between users, objects, and their environment rather than creating attention–seeking forms. Through the refinement of structure, manufacturing logic, and function, SF–SO reduces visual and physical complexity, allowing objects to exist quietly within everyday environments. This approach extends into its furniture brand SFSO–MFG®, where the studio translates its philosophy into tangible products meant to be understood through use and physical experience.
