The majestic Marmorkirken (Marble Church) is a beloved fixture of the Copenhagen skyline. In fact, it’s one of the largest domes in all of Europe. While Marmorkirken’s scale makes for a dramatic sight, it doesn’t make for subtle acoustics… So be sure to tip-toe and whisper if you pay this architectural gem a visit while you’re in town.
File Under Pop
File Under Pop is driven out of passion for creative surface design. The company specializes in clothing floors, walls and ceilings in a curated universe of color and tactile textures using clay and lava stone tiles, paint and bespoke interior solutions. The Copenhagen-based brand, directed by Josephine Akvama Hoffmeyer, transforms rooms by equipping surfaces with tiles crafted from Spanish clay and Italian lava stone, hand-painted wallpaper and durable, ultramatt paint. All products are processed by hand, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, resulting in characteristic surfaces. Recently, File Under Pop introduced Color Lab - a fully functioning paint shop offering a whole new take on color and paint consulting.
During 3daysofdesign - File Under Pop welcomes guests to visit their Studio and Color Lab located in the heart of the city center, the historic Frederiksstaden. Both spaces will showcase a collection of 16 new paint colors as well a range of new tile formats, new vases and a limited edition series of lava stone boards created in collaboration with artist Mathias Malling Mortensen. File Under Pop is taking a new stand on color - exploring the subtle detail of gentle color meetings and the new spaces that seem to appear, when two colors of close kinship meet. Visit the Color Lab at Esplanaden 6 to experience a fully functioning paint and tile shop, and remember to stop by the Studio at Frederiksgade 1 to explore all colors in detail.
