Founded in 2015 by Maja and Samuel Norburg, Pholc is a distinctly Swedish lighting brand with a new take on Scandinavian aesthetics. With a commitment to creating meaningful design rooted in strong ideas and long-lasting quality, Pholc takes a stand against the expected. The brand stays informed and relevant through collaboration with talents from diverse fields. A Pholc lamp possesses a characteristically unique style and personality that calls for attention and awakens curiosity.

Every design starts with a dream. Pholc believes in realising dreams without compromising the vision. The brand is committed to pushing boundaries, fostering continuous movement between the familiar and the unknown, and consistently challenging expected norms. Collaborating closely with designers, Pholc challenges conventions and strives to create designs for the future. The brand aspires to achieve expressive relevance beyond the ordinary. As part of the design exhibition focusing on the theme of Materials & Sustainability, Pholc will present its inaugural collaboration with designer John Astbury, alongside designs by Maria Bruun & Anne Dorthe Vester and Broberg & Ridderstråle.

Navigated by the senses, Schneid Studio finds harmony between ethics and aesthetics to elaborate thoughtful products with timeless appeal. While being rooted in the admiration of the natural, Schneid Studio’s connection to nature finds deep influence in its creative spirit, resulting in honest partnerships with local craftsmen and women, the use of naturally sourced materials and a holistic sustainable mindset. From naturally muted to bright and colourful with a bold approach to shaping and creating, their collection explores traditional elements of architecture, art and poetry to transform them into a contemporary, yet timeless aesthetic.

Established in Copenhagen in 2017, Tekla creates elevated yet functional homeware pieces that centre a timeless, straightforward design expression. 

Since launching, Tekla has embodied an honest commitment to uncompromising quality. With a foundation in bedding, the full collection now comprises pieces for the entire home, including towels, sleepwear and kitchen linens – all made to be lived in and made to last. 

Tekla holds B Corp certification, joining a global movement of people using business as a force for good. Tekla is available at its Copenhagen store, globally online and through a handful of carefully selected retail partners in Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific.

Astep is a young, contemporary design company with a rich legacy. Founded in 2014 by Alessandro Sarfatti with the vision of creating and curating timeless design objects with an innovative approach and environmental awareness.
Astep offers thoughtful, long-lasting and carefully crafted lighting for home interiors, offices and design spaces alike. 
Based in Copenhagen and produced in Italy, Astep draws heavily on the Italian design legacy of the Sarfatti family and continuously strive to remain curious and evolving.

Karup Design stands out in the furniture industry for its multifunctional and stylish furniture. Emphasizing the philosophy 'Make room for more. In less space,' Karup Design's focus has always been on functional yet aesthetically pleasing furniture solutions.

This focus on multifunctionality is not merely about utility but also a commitment to decluttering and simplifying living areas. Aesthetically, Karup Design’s creations embrace a minimalist ethos, characterized by clean lines, simplicity, and a natural color scheme, primarily using pine wood and complimentary color tones. This design approach extends beyond visual appeal, fostering a sense of openness and more space, especially in small living spaces.

Artisan is globally renowned for its innovative furniture design and quality craftsmanship. Handmade from seven species of solid timber, Artisan pieces are produced by craftsmen in a large Bosnian factory surrounded by dense forest, the once was old school woodwork shop with a 60-year history of producing fine timber products was transformed into the modern and technologically advanced facility that it is today. Through their collections as well as individual pieces, Artisan offers a wide range of furniture such as seating, tables, sideboards, beds, lamps. The brand insists that, at the end of the production process, the furniture that adorns your living environment is as natural as the wood from which it has originated.

Discover NUAD, a unique lighting brand that combines soft organic shapes with an industrial aesthetic. With a strong focus on functionality and timeless design, NUAD creates lighting solutions for both homes and work environments.
Through their minimalistic approach and attention to detail NUAD aims to minimize the use of materials while delivering innovative and high-quality products.
 
Founded in 2019 by architect Rune Krøjgaard, NUAD offers a range of lighting fixtures with a retro, industrial look and a warm, earthy color palette. The designer has been working with design and production in some of the leading Danish design brands and has used his know-how and experience to create his own brand NUAD.

Architect Pål Lunder founded Fjordfiesta in 2004, wishing to develop and reconnect with the Scandinavian design heritage. The Norwegian design brand is passionate about collaborating with new designers, and proud to renew classic gems from the Norwegian design vault.

Committed to tackling our modern day’s ethical and environmental challenges, Fjordfiesta is hands-on in every part of the chain – from design and manufacture to delivery. The furniture is made at Fjordfiesta’s factory in Dokka, Norway, where high-quality craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology ensure objects that last a lifetime and beyond.

De La Espada furniture is where leading design meets the highest level of European craftsmanship. At the De La Espada atelier in Portugal, expert craftspeople specialising in solid wood and upholstery combine handcraft and advanced technology to create truly unique, meaningful objects, meticulously detailed and engineered to last a lifetime. In addition to designing in-house, De La Espada also works closely with carefully selected international design partners. The product range reflects the diversity of the collaborators as well as a shared approach to materiality, functionality, and craft.

3daysofdesign is an exclusive event that's inclusive of everyone. Where the press, bloggers, buyers, designers, architects and design enthusiasts, as well as the general public, are invited to experience new concepts from our curated selection of brands from Denmark and elsewhere around the world.

It all began in 2013 as a small design event held in an old warehouse in Nordhavn, a harbour area overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront. Four Danish brands launched the event as a joint initiative: Montana, Erik Jørgensen (now owned by Fredericia Furniture), Anker & Co, and Kvadrat. At that time, Copenhagen lacked a proper design festival, since the previous annual furniture fair at Bella Center closed down some years before.

Today, the 3daysofdesign festival extends to the entire city of Copenhagen and is considered the most significant annual design festival in Scandinavian

Each year since its inception, 3daysofdesign has grown in popularity exponentially. In 2023, over 250 brands exhibited at the festival, where visitors could choose from as many as 500 events to attend in various design districts across Copenhagen, such as design talks, networking events, etc.

3daysofdesign takes place every year in Copenhagen mainly during the second week of June from Wednesday to Friday. In 2024 the festival will be held from 12 - 14 June.

Pack your bags, book a hotel and come to Copenhagen! 3daysofdesign is open to the general public and everyone is invited to visit the showrooms, exhibitions, workshops and design talks.
