By the 1930s, the company had expanded into hospital furniture and introduced a signature line of outdoor tables and chairs—most notably, the iconic Portuguese Chair. This year Grythyttan Stålmöbler celebrates 130 years of Swedish craftsmanship and Scandinavian design. The furniture is still made by hand from wood and steel in Grythyttan, making the chairs and tables extremely weather-resistant and ensure they last decade after decade. The characteristic rocking mechanism of the chairs is created by the special spring steel frame, also requires human craftsmanship. During 3daysofdesign, discover the new additions to the iconic A2 series, which has been an integral part of Swedish gardens since the 1930. The High Tech chair relaunched in 2007 has been given a new color spectrum for 2025. The chair was designed ny Nisse Strinning in the early 1980's.
