nanimarquina was born from a singular desire: to create visually stunning rugs that would captivate people's senses. With an unwavering commitment to innovation in techniques and materials, nanimarquina stands as a pioneering family enterprise dedicated to handcrafting contemporary rugs. Collaboration with renowned international designers has always been at the core of nanimarquina's philosophy. This approach ensures a diverse range of styles and provides a platform for experimenting with textures, materials, and shapes, which has become a defining characteristic of the brand. Since 2021 nanimarquina is Climate Neutral certified. The company measures, offsets and reduces its carbon footprint leading the way toward a more sustainable future.

Nanimarquina is set to unveil its latest 2024 collections during 3daysofdesign at the Ruby Atelier Gallery, showcasing rugs as authentic artworks, going beyond their utilitarian nature. Among the highlights will be Colorado collection by Inga Sempé, new designs from the Chillida collection, as well as Wabisabi collection by Nani Marquina and Pearls collection by Sabine Finkenauer. The gallery will be transformed into a quasi-theatrical backdrop, seamlessly blending carefully selected pieces by nanimarquina. Curated by Openhouse and styled by Henriette Schou and Pernille Vest, the exhibit will present nanimarquina and Expormim in an elevated setting, showcasing them as curated pieces.

Copenhagen-based design company FRIPON is relaunching the classic Philosopher Lamp, designed by the Danish architect Lars-Erik Ejlers in the early 1990s. The lamp was originally made for Restaurant Cap Horn in Nyhavn. In the following years, the lamp, designed with a notable brass shade, became a rarity due to very limited distribution but still found its way and is gracing iconic bars and restaurants throughout Copenhagen. FRIPON’s first endeavour is to breathe new life into the classic Philosopher Lamp, once again.

The Philospher Lamp is produced locally in workshops located in the metropolitan area of Copenhagen.

TAKT is rethinking the approach to designing, constructing, and selling furniture, aiming to bring high-quality design to a broader audience. The brand is challenging the prevailing throw-away culture around furniture, asserting that furniture is not disposable. Furniture should be loved, cared for and handed to future generations. Therefore, all TAKT furniture is designed for repair. Their component based approach to design means that all parts are replaceable, so when life happens, you’ll be able to identify the right part of the furniture to repair or replace. This way, your furniture could last forever. Furthermore, TAKT is a B Corp and all products are certified with the EU Ecolabel. TAKT calls it 'Perpetual Sustainable Design'.

Since its inception in 2013, Signe Byrdal Terenziani has facilitated the growth of the design community in her role as Managing Director. It all began as a small design event held in an old warehouse in Nordhavn, a harbour area overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront. Four Danish brands launched the event as a joint initiative: Montana, Erik Jørgensen (now owned by Fredericia Furniture), Anker & Co, and Kvadrat. At that time, Copenhagen lacked a proper design festival, since the previous annual furniture fair at Bella Center closed down some years before.

Today, the 3daysofdesign festival extends to the entire city of Copenhagen and is considered the most significant annual design festival in Scandinavia.

Each year since its inception, 3daysofdesign has grown in popularity exponentially. In 2023, over 250 brands exhibited at the festival, where visitors could choose from as many as 500 events to attend in various design districts across Copenhagen, such as design talks, networking events, etc.

3daysofdesign takes place every year in Copenhagen mainly during the second week of June from Wednesday to Friday. In 2024 the festival will be held from 12 - 14 June.
