YURI HIMURO is a Japanese textile brand founded by textile designer Yuri Himuro in 2016. The brand explores the interaction between textiles and people through playful and innovative design. With a unique approach to weaving, it creates textiles that transform through cutting, folding, or movement, inviting users to engage with the textile. Featured in cushions, blankets, and art pieces, its designs are incorporated into interiors and installations, merging craftsmanship with storytelling. Each material possesses peculiarities that must be understood, indulged and challenged. In the careful hands of experts, lamps and furnishings acquire traits and irregularities, regarding which investigation into the processes that give shape to the matter is necessary.
