Ethimo is an Italian company founded in 2009 that specialised in high–end outdoor furnishings that express contemporary design in a balanced synthesis of form and function. Study of materials and shapes of elements speak of the tailoring of a knowhow consolidated over time and of all–Italian style. A fusion of art, nature, tradition, contemporaneity and design that finds its identity and balance in every project bringing alive an idea of outdoor living made up of harmony with nature and respect for the environment. ØDELAND is a material and design project that transforms overlooked waste streams into new aesthetic possibilities. Based on high–fired ceramic landfill waste such as discarded toilets and sinks, ØDELAND works to rethink value, resources, and material cycles. Using sanitary waste, granite dust from quarrying, and pharmaceutical glass, ØDELAND is developing new ceramic expressions in which waste becomes identity, form, and narrative.
