Mazo takes a thoughtful, hands–on approach to design, focusing on creativity, quality, and the small details that make a difference. They experiment with materials to refine their work, balancing beauty and function in a way that feels natural and deliberate. Rather than following trends, they prioritise durability and timeless appeal. Collaborating with architects and designers from the 1930s to today, they create pieces that meet contemporary needs while staying deeply rooted in history.
Mazo, DCW éditions, and MODELEC come together in a shared exhibition, ROOTED IN TIME, at Mazo’s showroom at Dronningegården. Distinct voices shaped by their own histories, yet grounded in a shared approach. Pieces from different decades occupy the same space—not to contrast, but to reveal continuity. There is no clear beginning or end, no fixed point in time. Only objects that have proven their place and new ones carrying the same intent forward. In a world defined by excess and constant replacement, this is another way: to add with intention, choose fewer, better objects—with depth and meaning. ROOTED IN TIME is not nostalgia. Every design moves between past and present, shaped with care and attention, ready to be lived with today.
