We’re looking for people who are passionate about design and crafts from around the world to join us as a Design Ambassador to help make 3daysofdesign an unforgettable experience. 3daysofdesign is Denmark’s Official Design Festival. A platform for discovery, dialogue, and diverse perspectives. Our 14th Edition takes place next summer from 9 – 11 June 2027.
As a Design Ambassador, it’s your chance to play a crucial role fostering meaningful connections with creators and makers shaping the design landscape of tomorrow. From supporting exhibitors, helping journalists, and guiding visitors to capturing highlights of the festival with photography. Reflecting our dedication to creativity, craftsmanship and storytelling, shared with our partner, Leica Camera.
Our Design Ambassador Programme is a volunteer initiative. We will cover your roundtrip flights, hotel and meals during your stay in Copenhagen. A few months before the festival begins, we will help prepare you remotely, to brief you on our own design heritage and task during the festival itself. All our efforts are aimed at creating a positive, supporting environment. For design enthusiasts who embrace our values, and our deep desire to make our festival an amazing experience that will last well beyond the three days.

What are we looking for?
People from around the globe who are truly enthusiastic about design, who thrive in an exciting, international environment of ideas and knowledge–sharing. Keen on collaborating with a dynamic team to help our festival guests have an experience they’ll remember forever. Individuals who feel equally at ease behind the camera lens, with an instinct for storytelling and beautiful composition. We’re looking for 10 people from around the world who are truly passionate about design and crafts, people who thrive in an exciting, international environment of ideas and knowledge–sharing, who enjoy collaborating with a dynamic team to help our festival guests have an experience they’ll remember forever.

Our Ambassador Programme is a unique volunteer opportunity for you to deepen your understanding of design, expand your professional network, and develop hands-on experience with hospitality, event management, exhibitions and communications.
You can look forward to preparing the practical elements of our festival, welcoming guests, assisting in guided tours, hosting dinners, and creating memorable experiences throughout the festival. You’ll also be able to share your own knowledge and insights about design and craft with a dynamic global design community, while gaining new knowledge behind the scenes. We will cover your roundtrip airfare to Copenhagen, accommodation, meals and transportation during your stay in Copenhagen, starting a few days before the festival takes place from 9 — 11 June 2027. Our overall desire is for you to have an inspiring experience both personally and professionally — before, during, and after the festival. Something you’ll want to share and cherish forever.
We’re open to people who are:
- Curious, engaged, and eager to contribute and take initiatives
- Outgoing, organised, good at communicating - and fluent in English
- Actively interested in design, whether through studies, work, or personal pursuits
- Service-minded and a natural socialite, with a knack for bringing people together
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively, as part of a team
- Comfortable in the role of a host — welcoming guests, guiding groups ,and creating memorable experiences
- Open to taking on a variety of tasks from setting up exhibitions to overseeing our i-Points
- Confident and creative behind a camera, able to capture spontaneous moments
- Available to be physically in Copenhagen a few days before and during the festival dates
What can you look forward to?
Prior to arriving in Copenhagen, spanning approximately 2 months ahead of the festival, you will take part in our easy, remote e-learning programme, featuring short videos, podcasts, and articles for you to explore. Your arrival will be scheduled a few days before we kick off 3daysofdesign. We will invite you on a tour around Copenhagen to see highlights of our iconic architecture, and to familiarise yourself with where you will be based during the festival. Throughout your stay, we will arrange shared dinners and gatherings where you can exchange insights and perspectives drawing on your cultural background, personal passion and interest for design and craftsmanship.
