NORDICMODERN is a Danish brand founded in 2018. The brand stands for selected rugs and textile accessories designed by Vibeke Klint (1927-2019), who has been described as the 20th century’s most significant Danish weavers and textile artists. All rugs have a unique design expression, that is relevant and supplemented to both modern and more classic interiors. In close collaboration with the Klint family, NORDICMODERN has chosen a collection of 9 different rug designs. All rugs are handwoven and based on Vibeke's original, iconic designs which are expressions of different techniques, colours and patterns, typically used by the designer.

Nordicmodern eagerly anticipates showcasing their collection under the name "Quiet Days - Great Design." Each day starts with a delightful morning ritual, offering freshly brewed coffee and croissants from 09:00 to 10:00. Visitors are warmly invited to indulge in a slow and delectable beginning to their day, setting the perfect tone before exploring the exhibition alongside esteemed companions such as Chatboard, Panerai, Arper, Triboo, Abstracta Systems, and Made by Hand.

It all began in 2013 as a small design event held in an old warehouse in Nordhavn, a harbour area overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront. Four Danish brands launched the event as a joint initiative: Montana, Erik Jørgensen (now owned by Fredericia Furniture), Anker & Co, and Kvadrat. At that time, Copenhagen lacked a proper design festival, since the previous annual furniture fair at Bella Center closed down some years before.

Today, the 3daysofdesign festival extends to the entire city of Copenhagen and is considered the most significant annual design festival in Scandinavian

Each year since its inception, 3daysofdesign has grown in popularity exponentially. In 2023, over 250 brands exhibited at the festival, where visitors could choose from as many as 500 events to attend in various design districts across Copenhagen, such as design talks, networking events, etc.

3daysofdesign takes place every year in Copenhagen mainly during the second week of June from Wednesday to Friday. In 2024 the festival will be held from 12 - 14 June.
