With deep respect for design and acknowledging the urgent need for a circular transformation, FÓLK creates objects and furniture that enable the circularity of materials. Some of FÓLKs circular designs—such as The Airbag and The Lava Vase—have already become modern design icons, expressing how one’s waste can become another’s treasure. FÓLK explores new circular systems and develops designs from materials that are discarded, disregarded or leftover and through that journey aspires to facilitate people and companies to create more responsible interior solutions.

BAINA is an Antipodean brand of considered bathing essentials, founded in 2019. Distinctly modern and consciously created, the brand’s organic cotton towelling and clean apothecary formulations embrace bathing as an intentional practice—a conscious awakening in preparation for the day ahead, or the slow disconnect of the day that has passed. BAINA offers a gentle reminder to slow down and be present in moments once passed through as part of a routine.

Based in India, the studio is rooted in ancient wisdom, where sustainability and care are integral to everyday living. Working closely with local artisans and locally sourced wood, the furniture draws from South Asian traditions of sitting and spatial setting. Naturally seasoned, aged trees—crafted without nails or screws—form the core language of the work. A life–centred approach ensures no harmful disruptors enter the environment, protecting everyone from maker to end user. Continually pushing the boundaries of furniture typology, the studio explores Indian minimalism while revisiting traditional skills through a contemporary lens, creating pieces that hold space and life in equal measure.

INDALO has two meanings in siSwati: “nature” and “to create.” This collective of craft artisans from Eswatini and European designers showcases objects created with sustainable natural materials. Organised by the International Trade Centre (ITC) and founded by the European Union (EU), this exhibition is centred around traditional skills and culture from the Southern African country.

Botané is building a new category at the intersection of interior design, sustainability and modern aesthetics. Created to bring botanical design into everyday spaces, Botané offers a lasting alternative to perishability, designed to remain rather than disappear. Approached as an interior discipline, botanical design is treated with the same intention as furniture, objects and architectural elements. Each composition is shaped through proportion, texture and spatial balance, becoming part of how a space is experienced rather than something that fades from it. Gemla is a contemporary furniture maker—and always has been. Yet at the same time, they verge on being an anachronism. Always have. The company was founded in 1861, specialising in steam–bent furniture. It’s steam that makes bentwood furniture so exceptionally durable, yet graceful. On the factory floor, guided by the knowledge of craft, the brand meets patience, care and sustainability, passed down through generations. It’s no coincidence that its pieces are in high demand for hotels and restaurants—settings that require equal parts aesthetics and durability.

The story of sog begins in the world of bespoke furniture in Japan, where its creators listened to countless stories—the single line drawn by an architect, the quiet wish of a user. To answer each one, the brand's artisans sculpted wood, tailored fabrics, and bent metal. The myriad forms born and then vanished in this process became what they call the “memories of design.” From this vast accumulation of memories and experience, “sog” was born: a brand that carves out the "So” (素)—the elemental form destined to become the standard of the future.

Scandinavian Design Embassy is an initiative aimed at promoting Nordic design companies internationally at Nordic Embassies around the world. It brings together key organisations including the Finnish Design Embassy, Norwegian Design Industry, the Swedish Institute and Svensk Form. Through this partnership, they strengthen the innovative and sustainable design principles that define the Nordic countries. Building on the success of the Finnish Design Embassy initiative, which has been active since 2022, this project has extended the concept to neighbouring countries for an even stronger presence around the world.

The Ukraine House in Denmark is a Ukrainian cultural diplomacy institution with a mission to deepen Ukrainian–Danish cooperation in the field of culture and creative industries for sustainable peace in Europe. Located in the Gammel Dok in the centre of Copenhagen, since 2023 Ukraine House hosted more than 16.500 guests, held 14 exhibitions of Ukrainian contemporary art, architecture, design, photography, organised more than 209 dialogues, panel discussions, lectures, and presentations, and integrated Ukrainian content into leading Danish cultural platforms, such as the Copenhagen Democracy Summit, Copenhagen Architecture Festival, Kulturnatten, Copenhagen Photography Festival, and 3daysofdesign.
