Established in 2007, Design By Them was founded by industrial designers Sarah Gibson and Nicholas Karlovasitis. Based in Australia, the company is run by designers who are dedicated to creating and producing unique products for design professionals and enthusiasts alike. DBT products are designed by Australian designers, developed in–house by the Design By Them team and produced worldwide. The brand’s growing curated collection of furniture, accessories and lighting is characterised by its unique Australian perspective, timeless aesthetic and distinct playfulness. Design By Them products can be seen in offices, universities, restaurants, hotels, libraries, airports and homes worldwide.
Design By Them returns to 3daysofdesign 2026 with a showcase of new and loved Australian designed pieces from their collection. The exhibition invites visitors to explore a curation of design typologies and languages in an array forms. Design By Them has spent nearly two decades creating a "playful yet permanent" Australian aesthetic, and with a philosophy grounded in originality, character and longevity, the studio continues to celebrate Australian furniture and object design.
