Blēo is a colour house based in Copenhagen, operating at the intersection of surfaces, spaces, and objects. The company collaborates with visionaries worldwide, spanning the fields of art, architecture, design, and fashion, to develop essential colours. Blēo transcends traditional paint boundaries, working with an extensive list of today’s most compelling artists, architects, and designers to create distinctive and personal palettes. Each palette represents a slice of their colour universe, telling the story of a person, practice, or place.

A radical new collection of colours and paints invites total immersion in the powerful world of colour established in Josef Albers’ book Interaction of Color. “To follow me, follow yourself,” proclaimed artist, colorist and educator Josef Albers in regards to the colour theory he established in his seminal book Interaction of Color (1963). Driven by the belief in experiment and intuition, his work and approach has influenced innumerable artists, makers and thinkers. Now, his colours are being brought into a fittingly democratic medium, giving us the opportunity to experiment with and take his colours far beyond the canvas - to our own spaces, surfaces and objects.

The brand was born from a passion for objects and an immense curiosity about materials.
Material is the main focus in the development process of the projects. The right material gives the piece personality and soul, revealing its unique identity.
The collections are in limited editions, and the entire production is made in Lisbon, where the company is based. The producers are small local factories, workshops, and artisans, many existing for over 30 years.
Longevity is the thought behind the brand. The idea is reflected in the products through objects of simple forms that are easy to take care of, allowing the pieces to cross the time and creating interaction with the material.

The collection is characterised by a search for beauty in simplicity, a focus on the exquisite nature of details, and the creation of authentic items that enrich the spaces we inhabit and share. RS Barcelona achieves this by highlighting the power of play, considering it an attitude and an expression of optimism. The brand invites individuals to play without complexes or restrictions, daring to engage in scenarios where it was not traditionally appropriate, reinterpreting the conventional to make it iconic. Since its inception in 2013, Signe Byrdal Terenziani has facilitated the growth of the design community in her role as Managing Director. It all began as a small design event held in an old warehouse in Nordhavn, a harbour area overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront. Four Danish brands launched the event as a joint initiative: Montana, Erik Jørgensen (now owned by Fredericia Furniture), Anker & Co, and Kvadrat. At that time, Copenhagen lacked a proper design festival, since the previous annual furniture fair at Bella Center closed down some years before.

Today, the 3daysofdesign festival extends to the entire city of Copenhagen and is considered the most significant annual design festival in Scandinavia.

Each year since its inception, 3daysofdesign has grown in popularity exponentially. In 2023, over 250 brands exhibited at the festival, where visitors could choose from as many as 500 events to attend in various design districts across Copenhagen, such as design talks, networking events, etc.

3daysofdesign takes place every year in Copenhagen mainly during the second week of June from Wednesday to Friday. In 2024 the festival will be held from 12 - 14 June.
