Founded in 1976, Dedar is an Italian textile editor that expresses a personal style with its cutting-edge contemporary collections of fine fabrics, wallcoverings and trimmings. Located close to Como, in the heart of a manufacturing district, Dedar experiments and innovates to attain product perfection through an ongoing dialogue with those craftsmen and textile specialists who are most familiar with the techniques employed in the production of excellent fabrics. The essence of Dedar’s creative spirit is driven by force of expression, passion for precious qualities and a sophisticated colour palette, which together create inspirational future classics.

For 3daysofdesign, Dedar tigers make an incursion and stage an immersive sensory spectacle that celebrates colours and patterns inside GUBI showroom in Copenhagen. Dedar invites visitors to discover the special collaboration, which showcases a tactile textile installation with the new tiger patterns of the collection in their iconic fauve colour. An innate curiosity and knowledge of textile archetypes, combined with a desire to grasp radically new intuitions and a rare “savoir-faire”, transform ideas into fabric: Dedar pays homage to the most hypnotic and majestic creature on velvets endowed with a strong personality and expressive power.

Since its inception in 2013, Signe Byrdal Terenziani has facilitated the growth of the design community in her role as Managing Director. It all began as a small design event held in an old warehouse in Nordhavn, a harbour area overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront. Four Danish brands launched the event as a joint initiative: Montana, Erik Jørgensen (now owned by Fredericia Furniture), Anker & Co, and Kvadrat. At that time, Copenhagen lacked a proper design festival, since the previous annual furniture fair at Bella Center closed down some years before.

Today, the 3daysofdesign festival extends to the entire city of Copenhagen and is considered the most significant annual design festival in Scandinavia.

Each year since its inception, 3daysofdesign has grown in popularity exponentially. In 2023, over 250 brands exhibited at the festival, where visitors could choose from as many as 500 events to attend in various design districts across Copenhagen, such as design talks, networking events, etc.

3daysofdesign takes place every year in Copenhagen mainly during the second week of June from Wednesday to Friday. In 2024 the festival will be held from 12 - 14 June.
