An international creative collaborator and invaluable material resource, AHEC is the global face of U.S. hardwoods, championing their performance, sustainability and aesthetic potential to timber markets all over the world.
AHEC presents 'Three', a new exhibition chronicling the creative journeys of three Nordic design-makers – Pia Högman, Anne Brandhøj and Anna Maria Øfstedal Eng – who have been matched at random with one of three U.S. hardwoods – red oak, maple and cherry – and encouraged to play, experiment and explore. 'Three' is intended to champion the role that these underused woods can play in the sustainable future of design and architecture, while raising awareness of their status as vital components of the forest’s long-term sustainability.
