Tools for Everyday Life is a project showcasing the community of practice surrounding the BA Furniture and Product Design programme at Northumbria University. This community has evolved through a dialogical approach to teaching and learning, where academic and technical staff act as facilitators in an ongoing process of shared inquiry with students. The project sets design briefs to create everyday objects that bring joy in use, proposing artefacts that recognise and celebrate the innumerable skilled actions that shape daily life. The aim is to draw inspiration from materials and processes that not only define the objects people interact with but also shape the relationship with the surrounding environment.

Located in the Gammel Dok in the centre of Copenhagen, since 2023 Ukraine House hosted more than 10.000 guests, held 10 exhibitions of Ukrainian contemporary art, architecture, design, photography, organised more than 100 dialogues, panel discussions, lectures, and presentations, and integrated Ukrainian content into leading Danish cultural platforms, such as the Copenhagen Democracy Summit, Copenhagen Architecture Festival, Kulturnatten, Copenhagen Photography Festival, and 3daysofdesign.

INDALO has two meanings in siSwati: 'nature' and 'to create.' This collective of craft artisans from Eswatini and European designers showcases objects created with sustainable natural materials. Organised by the International Trade Centre (ITC) and founded by the European Union (EU), this exhibition is centred around traditional skills and culture from the Southern African country. The Handcraft company Siyaphambili have collaborated with designers Delphine Meriaux, and Agathe Pautrot to bring new interior design objects to Europe. This collective brings empowerment and social recognition to their work as basket weavers. The Lutindzi grass they collect and weave is a sustainable resource that grows in the wild.

During 3daysofdesign, Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Exhibition will be held in the craftsmens' house, Moltke's Mansion, an impressive Baroque building in city center, owned by the Association of Craftsmen in Copenhagen. The exhibition is displaying unique master pieces by master craftsmen, as well as works from final exams, apprentice pieces and works by more established cabinetmakers. Since 1554, Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild has been a gathering place for both furniture makers and building carpenters. Common for all Guild's members is the interest in noble craftsmanship, and not least the necessity of supporting the professional educational training.

MANU builds object-to-human relationships. Their objects are all ‘characters’ to live alongside — not bought and sold, but adopted. Working across waste streams, the material becomes both the starting point and the guide, allowing its limitations to shape the design of each object. 91—92 / ninetyoneninetytwo is a Copenhagen–based design studio founded in 2020 by Zeyu Rong and Weibo Sun. Working at the intersection of technology and craft, the studio explores the creative potential of 3D printing through a growing collection of objects made from r—PETG, r—PLA, and TPU. Each piece is thoughtfully produced with a focus on form, tactility, and purpose—balancing aesthetic presence with functional clarity. Guided by a belief in 3D printing as a tool for design, 91—92 reimagines local production as a way to reduce material waste and energy use, embedding environmental consciousness into every layer of their process.
