PAP DECO is a family–run Polish manufactory that has become a pioneer in creating hand–carved furniture handles and wall decorations using traditional casting techniques. With more than 30 years of experience in metallurgy, the brand has been evolving across generations, with its founders—brothers Piotr and Marcin Papliński—working alongside their father, Jerzy, who instilled in them a passion for working with noble brass. The pieces crafted directly by the artisans are artistic objects with ergonomic functions, each one a timeless example of functional art. PAP DECO creates not only unique brass handles and decorations with sculptural forms, but also other fully personalised ornamental elements.
The exhibition promotes contemporary Polish design, applied arts and craftsmanship on the international stage, with a focus on the Scandinavian market. It aims to present Poland as a modern, creative country open to cultural dialogue while valuing quality, tradition and skilled workmanship. The project builds a bridge between Polish and Danish design scenes, highlighting shared values of simplicity, functionality and material sensitivity. This curated selection spans furniture, functional objects, artistic crafts and lighting. Shown in Copenhagen, it juxtaposes Polish aesthetics with Denmark’s modern craft tradition. The spatial concept by architect Aleksandra Hyz ensures a coherent, contemporary visual setting.
