Since 1899, Zimmer + Rohde has combined traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation. From its headquarters in Oberursel, the family–owned company develops exclusive, high–quality furniture and curtain fabrics that set international standards and enjoy worldwide distribution.

"The Art of Making" is an invitation behind the curtain. Five design brands, from Japan, Spain, Portugal, the United States and Germany come together at the historic Asia House to share not just what they make, but how. Each brand will open up its creative process, prototypes, materials in their raw states, and artefacts of the journey from idea to object. "The Art of Making" is an exhibition that is part showcase, part love letter to artistry and craft. A collective exhibition by Ariake, Parachilna, Origin Made, Ladies & Gentlemen Studio, Zimmer+Rohde.

prado believes a home should become a place where functionality disappears and only the experience of the space remains. prado provides advanced solutions for home technology such as light and ventilation, quietly disappearing into architecture to bring calm to the spaces we live in. Founded in 2020, prado removes the visual noise from living spaces, leaving only what matters. The laboratory brings together prado's four maisons, united by the belief that the future of homes is not defined by more technology, but by better integration. Vervloet has been mastering the craft of architectural hardware since 1905. Atelier Luxus brings the same standard to switches and sockets, while rond extends the prado philosophy to the wall itself.

Vipp is a Danish, 3rd generation family–owned design company. Founded by metalsmith Holger Nielsen in the small town of Randers, Denmark in 1939, his entrepreneurial debut was a practical waste bin initially crafted for his wife’s hair salon. When Holger passes away in the beginning of the nineties, his daughter Jette inherits the bin and a metal workshop in the backyard of her childhood home in Randers. Joined by her children, Kasper and Sofie, they set out to transform the bin into a brand.Today, with its steadfast commitment to product engineering and design, Vipp equals a full–blown design universe of furniture, lighting, accessories, kitchens, and guesthouses.

Their new studio—an old butcher shop transformed into a ceramic studio—reflects this approach: original materials, honest processes, and modern design. Copenhagen based Icelandic designer Dögg Guðmundsdóttir creates nature inspired products with emotional appeal and a distinctive touch of Nordic originality. Many of her designs are based on foundational structures or pieces of art, while others form part of a collection. For this exhibition, nature is not merely an inspiration but an integral part of the essence of the works and of the installation, created in collaboration with Dýpi—an ocean paint made from calcareous algae harvested in Iceland. Dýpi was nominated for the Icelandic Design Awards 2025 for its product that is exceptionally breathable, environmentally friendly, plastic–free, and an innovative use of abundant natural materials.
