United by a focus on material awareness, production quality, and design integrity, the Objects of Desire exhibition presents contemporary practices developed through considered processes and skilled execution. This exhibition establishes a platform which convenes a selected group of international designers and makers working beyond mass production. Designers explore form, technique, and detail through processes informed by material properties and production methods. The exhibited objects are the result of in-depth material research, technical expertise, and time–intensive development.

The exhibition features selected works from August Wille, Birgitte Due Madsen, Boris Berlin, Bureau Parso, Corkinho, Corpus Studio, Edoardo Lietti, Eric Landon, Francesca Torzo, Germans Ermičs, Kevin Hviid, Kim Richardt, Maison Arpelli, Rahee Yoon, Rasmus Fenhann, Sausset Leou, Seamus Kowarzik, Sofie Østerby, Uncommon Ancestor, VAVA OBJECTS, and Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt. Each contributor represents a distinct design position, yet all works are connected by a shared emphasis on longevity, material responsibility, and considered production. The historic Thorvaldsen’s Museum, opened 1848, offers a unique exhibition stage that encourages viewing, reflection, and an appreciation of design values grounded in durability and relevance.

FANZI is a spatial practice based in Copenhagen, working across art, design and architecture. Projects move between object, exhibition, and architecture, often combining all three within a single framework. Rather than treating these as separate categories, the studio develops them as parts of a continuous spatial setting. FANZI operates less like a traditional studio and more like an experience-led practice, where design is not only seen, but quietly felt in how people inhabit space.
