Cyprus Handicraft was established in 1975 to record and preserve various traditional sectors and techniques of Cypriot handicrafts with a view to promoting the economic development of each sector. Since then, its role has expanded to include design innovation programs that promote research, participation in international trade fairs, and the production of exhibitions highlighting the work of Cyprus master craftsmen, artists and designers. They believe in the dynamic nature of the Cypriot cultural identity and encourage a blend of traditional and contemporary craftsmanship in order for artists' work to be internationally appealing.
Crafting Nature exhibition is hosted at Moltke's Mansion in Copenhagen during 3daysofdesign 2026. Includes works by 18 Cypriot artists who use clay, stone, glass, wood, metal, and thread as materials, drawing inspiration from nature, while the traditional and innovative techniques they use highlight the timeless relationship between craftsmanship and nature. The exhibition is produced by the Deputy Ministry of Culture as part of the cultural program of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026.
