Introducing MAS, a woodworking furniture brand born from a dialogue with various woods spread across Japan. By exploring new methods and expressions without being bound by established rules, the company brings valuable products with a universal appeal to the world. Through its shared design language, MAS embraces the inherent charm of its chosen material, crafting practical forms that harmonize with various environments. With an understated, functional, and inclusive elegance, MAS furniture embodies contemporary utility and aesthetics, creating beautiful landscapes intertwined with people's lives.

MAS will exhibit as part of the Japanmade Vol 1. exhibition. The exhibition focus is on contemporary Japanese design and craftsmanship, that will debut during 3daysofdesign 2026, in Copenhagen. MAS presents furniture rooted in Japanese woodworking expertise and a deep understanding of timber. Launched in 2018 under the design direction of Wataru Kumano, MAS explores new methods and material expressions, exemplified by its debut collection made entirely from Hinoki—Japanese cypress—a softwood rarely used in furniture. The exhibition is curated by OEO Studio and produced by Jens H. Jensen.

Marrimor objects are made to be as delightful as they are purposeful, a touch provocative too. Each piece comes into being by way of a relentlessly collaborative process, one that balances refinement with irreverence. Tanja Breadner and Lauren Bugliarisi both shoot for the moon, creatively speaking, albeit from reverse angles, drawing on different histories. Tanja brings Swiss sensibilities to the platonic design partnership, and Lauren an East Coast drive. They create through playful debate, continually pushing their respective boundaries to reach that Goldilocks–like zenith between too little and too much. They know they’ve landed as soon as they agree.
