David Trubridge is an internationally renowned lighting designer who is resolute in his mission to create sustainably produced products with a natural and organic aesthetic. Trubridge believes that the combination of these two principles directly affects the product’s sustainability, maintaining that consumers are less likely to discard products that are beautiful. His work came to prominence in 2001 when the Italian design house Cappellini bought the rights for his steambent ash recliner. The Coral light followed in 2003, establishing a blueprint for kitset products that minimised their environmental footprint. The company is proud to be B-Corp certified and hold Life Cycle Assessments and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).

In differential geometry, the Grassmann product—represented by a wedge—constructs higher–dimensional objects through the addition of existing dimensions. WEDGE channels this mathematical operation as both metaphor and method. The studio explores the space between abstraction and matter, using technologies like binder jet 3D printing, LIDAR scanning, and computational modelling to redefine how materials behave and how forms emerge. This year Grythyttan Stålmöbler celebrates 130 years of Swedish craftsmanship and Scandinavian design. The furniture is still made by hand from wood and steel in Grythyttan, making the chairs and tables extremely weather-resistant and ensure they last decade after decade. The characteristic rocking mechanism of the chairs is created by the special spring steel frame, also requires human craftsmanship. During 3daysofdesign, discover the new additions to the iconic A2 series, which has been an integral part of Swedish gardens since the 1930. The High Tech chair relaunched in 2007 has been given a new color spectrum for 2025. The chair was designed ny Nisse Strinning in the early 1980's.
