For 3daysofdesign, Johan Borups Højskole opens the doors to its historic mansion in Copenhagen’s District Kultur, inviting visitors to explore two graduation showcases by emerging Nordic voices across disciplines. This semester’s final exhibitions feature projects from Design & Ceramics and Architecture & Arts—two distinct yet connected expressions of artistic education where tradition meets contemporary culture in an open, exploratory atmosphere. Set within the school’s historic courtyard and interiors, the showcases highlight the culmination of a semester shaped by dialogue, curiosity, and craftsmanship. Founded in 1891, Johan Borups' is a Danish ‘højskole’—a creative community based on growth, collab and reflection.
Design & Ceramics—Led by designer & scenographer Pelle Staack, this course fosters curiosity, hands–on experimentation, and interdisciplinary collab. Developed for 3daysofdesign, students present lighting objects—lamps with ceramic sockets and Japanese-inspired shades. Conceptualised by Pelle and visual artist & ceramics 'fetishist' Anika Lori. Architecture & Arts—Led by architect and scenographer Dicki Lakha, this course uses a hands–on analog approach to explore the intersection of architecture & art. In the courtyard, a scenographic diorama installation invites viewers to explore how the diorama can open up worlds and represent the real while simultaneously evoking the surreal and the parallel. Conceptualised by Dicki and architect Lauge Floris.
