Bundle Studio is a Copenhagen based design studio working at the intersection of material research and industrial furniture production. The studio develops furniture and objects through a hands on process where structure, material behavior and construction define the expression. The practice includes work with natural fibre composites and biobased adhesives. With a curiosity for new and bio based materials, each project explores how emerging materials shape form, tactility and use. Rather than applying a predefined style, the studio lets material logic guide proportion and detail. The work aims to support a gradual green transition within the furniture industry through design and long term collaborations with manufacturers.
Bundle Studio exhibits at Material Matters with ongoing investigation into NeoLigno, a biobased adhesive developed by Stora Enso. The glue is an alternative to conventional formaldehyde based binders used in veneer furniture and wood composites. The exhibition centres on a lounge chair built from form pressed veneer shells assembled with lignin based glue. Alongside the chair, the exhibition unfolds as an open part of the process, including material samples, fragments and tests from development. For the studio, experimentation and implementation happen in parallel. By placing new materials directly into use through prototypes, the work explores how construction, material behaviour and industrial conditions shape future furniture production.
