Stine Mikkelsen is a Danish designer working at the intersection of design, art, and craftsmanship. Exploring materiality and tactility, she balances sculptural experimentation with functional design. Her portfolio spans from conceptual, unique objects to commercially viable furniture. Exhibited internationally, her work has earned awards for its exploratory approach to contemporary design. Through research-driven processes, she reinterprets everyday objects, pushing the boundaries of traditional form and function.

The exhibition explores the relationship between artistic exploration and commercial design. Building on the designer’s previous work, which focused on more artistic expressions, the studio now presents a new collection of furniture and lighting. These new designs are inspired by earlier concepts, translating artistic ideas into functional pieces that blend form and practicality. The exhibition highlights how these designs evolve from conceptual foundations into products ready for a broader audience.
