Encouraging warmth, balance, and connection, KINTO is a Japanese tableware and lifestyle brand that creates thoughtful objects to bring comfort and inspiration to everyday life. At the heart of its design approach is a careful balance between usability and aesthetics. Every detail is considered to achieve intuitive ease and understated beauty. Designed to integrate naturally into daily routines, KINTO products invite intention in the everyday. Each piece is made to be worthy of aichaku (愛着), a lasting affection that deepens through years of use, with designs that are comfortable, durable, and easy to care for. Rooted in Japanese sensibilities, KINTO designs nurture moments of connection over time.
KINTO and studio x kitchen: The beauty of intentional slow–work. The Japanese word “Tema” is composed of two elements: Te (hand) and Ma (space/time). It is more than time spent on a task; it represents a dialogue—moments when the hand connects with an object through care and devotion. The exhibition at studio x kitchen will showcase two new KINTO collections in use—MUI tableware and FUTO textiles—a reflection of thoughtful making, where material and form are considered. In a modern world where efficiency is often the ultimate goal, choosing “Tema” is a conscious decision to embrace slowing down. Bringing together two brands that share this perspective, the exhibition invites visitors to experience the beauty of slow–work in everyday life.
