VIA Design & Business is one of the largest design and business academies in the Nordic region, with more than 1.100 students in the fashion, furniture, and lifestyle industries. With campuses in Herning and Aarhus, VIA Design & Business covers a wide range of specialisations. The intersection of design and business is a unique part of the DNA, and cross–disciplinary collaboration gives students an in–depth understanding of companies’ value chains. The main focus is to contribute to the green transition.

VIA Design & Business presents a curated exhibition featuring current students and last year’s graduates. The themes include innovation, function, material experimentation, responsible production, and, of course, form. The exhibition showcases a wide variety of what engages design students in 2025. Several of these designs have been developed in collaboration with companies. This type of collaboration is a key focus of the program.

Founded in 1920 by Commander Adelino Dias Costa, Adico began its journey manufacturing iron beds. By the 1930s, the company had expanded into hospital furniture and introduced a signature line of outdoor tables and chairs—most notably, the iconic Portuguese Chair. Since the 1990s, Adico has been at the forefront of innovation, focusing on the creation of contemporary indoor and outdoor furniture. With a strong commitment to design and technology, Adico continues to stand out in both national and international markets as a symbol of quality, tradition, and modernity.

Teixidors: when weaving is also caring. In Terrassa, 30 km from Barcelona, Teixidors weaves unique pieces of cashmere and merino wool on 19th century wooden looms. Founded in 1983, it combines excellent craftsmanship with a deep social work, in collaboration with LaFact (Factoria Social de Terrassa). Each blanket, scarf or shawl is born from the slow gesture, the care, the commitment to the craft. Their products are now sold in more than 30 countries and they have collaborated with creators such as John Pawson and Faye Toogood.
